Two Authors, One Novel

or How to Collaborate on a Novel While Remaining Friends

Bestselling author pals Kate Quinn and Janie Chang teamed up to write The Phoenix Crown, set during the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Now that they’ve completed a series of book tours, they’re here to chat about the experience. What made them decide to work together, what was it about that time period that sparked their interest, how did they create a process that allowed them to work remotely on the same book, and what do they feel were the key elements of their successful collaboration? And of course, since we all love historical research, what were some of the highlights of their research expedition to San Francisco? Join us for a fun and informative talk.
